Explore the Mediterranean This Fall With Wind Surf’s
14-Day Itineraries
Special pricing available for two-week cruises in October/November
Seattle, WA, July 10, 2006 — Windstar Cruises announces special 14-day
cruise rates for select fall dates aboard the 308-guest Wind Surf.
Guests may combine two seven-day cruises and extend their vacation in
the Mediterranean to enjoy fall color, early holiday shopping and
scenic cruising.
Colorful coastal scenery and lively European culture draw tourists to
popular locations such as Rome, Nice and Barcelona. And in the fall,
Mediterranean ports come alive with locals bustling about plazas and
markets enjoying the pleasant, moderate climate.
This fall, a selection of fourteen-day cruises aboard the 308-guest
Wind Surf are available for about $215 per day, which represents a 25%
savings. Rates for a two-week cruise begin at $2,999 per person, based
on double occupancy.
Dates to combine into a two-week cruise include:
o October 15, Rome to Nice, visiting Corsica, Elba,
Livorno, Portofino, Monte Carlo.
o October 22, Nice to Rome, visiting St. Tropez, Corsica,
Ponza, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri
o October 29, Rome to Barcelona, visiting Portoferraio,
Portofino, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Marseille, Séte
o November 5, Barcelona to Lisbon, visiting Ibiza, Palma de
Mallorca, Marbella, Tangier
“We’ve coordinated the itineraries on the Wind Surf to facilitate
back-to-back cruises without repeating ports,” said Diane Moore,
Windstar’s vice president of marketing and sales. “Sailing for
two-weeks on the elegant Wind Surf is a perfect way to explore the
Mediterranean in style, especially with the new luxury appointments on
board.”
In all staterooms, guests enjoy luxury linens, plush Sealy Euro-Top
mattresses, bathroom amenities by L’Occitane, flatscreen televisions
and DVD/CD players. In The Restaurant, new Signature Cuisine menus by
acclaimed Chef Joachim Splichal are served on Rosenthal china and an
updated wine list offers more boutique labels. Riedel stemware graces
the tabletop. The dining experience now includes an amuse-bouche
(small bite) compliments of the chef, a cheese course serving fresh,
artisan cheeses, and petit-fours to finish the meal.
Other enhancements include hammocks built for two on deck, sorbet
served in a chilled orange half and lemon-scented iced towels offered
on deck on hot days, and dinner available course by course via room
service.
