My wife and I took a week-long NCL cruise and loved it. We'd taken a
shorter Carnival cruise, with fixed dining and we felt that NCL's Freestyle
operation was better for us. Some days we felt like eating earlier. Some
days we felt like eating later. Some days we felt like dining with others.
Some days we felt like dining alone. We got to meet lots of nice people and
had a really good time. We'll be going on NCL again.
Now, in another response in this thread, you mention that you've cruised 9
other times on other lines. In their ads, NCL spells out what Freestyle is
all about, so you should have been aware of it before you boarded. Clearly,
you *know* other cruise lines still offer fixed dining times, so your
question is unnecessary and the point of your original post isn't to gather
information, it's just to bitch about NCL under the guise of gathering
information.
Fine. Avoid NCL. The next time we cruise NCL, I'll be grateful you're on
some other boat.
