Paul, I love Brilliance of The Seas. One of my favorite ships. Not
sure about formal nights but I would say 3 for sure. I was on a 10
night thru the Panama Canal and think we had 3. Brilliance of The
Seas is a Radiance Class Ship. That just means its not as huge as some
of the newest ships afloat. To you as a new cruiser that will mean
nothing at all. You will not know the difference. I actually liked the
size of this ship more than the larger ones. Again you have nothing to
compare it to just my opinion.
I thought the food was some of the best ever. Order as much as you want
or as many items off a menu as you want. There is no limit. Just be
prepared for that Tux to feel a bit more tight towards the end of your
12 days. In the evening I suggest the Champaign Bar before dinner. Hot
and cold finger foods including caviar are served. Huge windows to
watch sunset from. Also try the cookies from the coffee bar. While
there is an extra charge for the special coffee (regular coffee is free
from the 24 hour dispensers) the cookies are free. Made fresh daily.
Spending money - What ever you would normally spend on a land based
vacation. Everything you charge to your personal account is going
against your credit card. Avoid using your ship account in the casino.
Use cash here. There is an extra charge to get cash against your ship
account. I'm from the school of thought ... I'd rather have too much
money than not enough.
