Warren, The hulls were built in the USA with US Government funds and NCL
took advantage of a deal they were able to get passed through the US with
the help of the Sen. of Hawaii. They even managed to get a waver for another
ship that was not constructed but rebuilt in the USA or finished or
something like that. They also bought the SS United States which is the only
viable US built ship left. While they said it was to rebuilt it, it seems
more likely that it was to prevent another company to buy it.
