Sometimes it's VERY difficult to figure out what went wrong with a computer.
As an example, has your computer ever locked up? Or given you the blue
screen of death? But most of the time it works just fine. If it locked
up... do you assume that something is wrong with it? If the ship computer
locked up, or had the blue screen of death while doing a turn... does that
mean there's something wrong with it? Or did it just crash at a very bad
time.

Maybe it will be easy to figure out that there really is something wrong
with the computer system... or maybe it was a very rare occurrence, like
locking up. And that there's nothing really wrong with the computer... and
this was just an occurrence like the blue screen of death.
