You are required to advise Carnival [or any cruiseline] of any "medical
condition which may require special assistance during the voyage." It is
advisable to do so. My husband is an IDD and always tells the
cruiselines. Just in case, however unlikely, he is found passed out in a
corridor... the doc then knows he is not drunk and be left to sleep it
off, but needs help.
