I imagine this topic has been beaten to death, but I'd like to hear new
opinions on our specific situation. We are trying to decide on the best
line for us to take to Alaska. The RCI Serenade sounds like a really
beautiful ship with lots of activities, while the HAL line sounds like
the scenery and food would be better. Here is who we are, so please let
me know what you think we would enjoy:
Family of four with 2 boys ages 17 and 20
Not really into "formal" stuff (we love hamburgers and pizza)
Love scenery (2 photographers in the group)
Dad likes karaoke and piano bars (and would certainly try some rock
climbing and golfing)
Kids love video games and movies
Mom likes to relax and read
My initial leaning was towards the RCI Serenade, but reading through
all the posts, everyone seems to think that HAL offers better cruises.
I'm still a bit leery, though about their ability to keep my boys (and
me) entertained. Am I wrong?
