They play more Paul Simon music on HAL ...

Things to look at are itineraries ... make sure you won't miss
something you want to see or do ... Once you finish your first Alaskan
cruise ... you'll look for the next one ...
Next consider room size ... RCI tends to have smaller rooms ... and if
all 4 are sharing ... ouch ... The smaller rooms is generally how RCI
can have bigger and better public facilities ...
RCI ships tend to have a wow factor ... like a city on the ocean ...
HAL ships tend more towards the elegant ...
RCI will tend to attract more families ... HAL will tend to attract
more retirees ...
Other than that ... you'll have more or less the same on either ship
... Karaoke ... piano bars ... pizza barbeques ... gourmet meals ...
entertainment ... bingo ...You mentioned movies ... I'm not sure
about RCI ... but HAL ships generally have a movie theater with free
freshly popped popcarn each day ... like out of theaters and just on
PPV ...
HAL also has the special dessert station outside the dining room after
dinners ...

You can't go wrong either way ... Cruising is a great relaxation with
loads of things to see and do in each port ...
