I save up near empty tubes of toothpaste and the like for just that
reason..from long before the current rash of insane security rules in
fact. Use them up while travelling, toss them and have one less thing
to schlep home.
I keep empty RX bottles and put just enough pills in them to cover my
travel days with a smidge extra so in case they get confiscated or
lost, I am not out an entire month's worth of expensive medicine.
Never carry more than you need, it's just easier. I find as I get
older, I am hauling less junk..beyond my electronic pacifiers that is.
