UPS most definitely will ship wine. Booze too, I once had a nice
bottle of Scotch sent via UPS, insured even. It's only using the
postal service, they forbd a whole range of purtianical items from the
mails, it's not just safety, many of those rules are left over moral
injunctions put in place by various Mrs. Grundies over the years.
Live bees are OK though, provided they are safely packaged and
labelled..grin
Hell, you can ship live ammo via UPS, provided it is properly packed
and not shipped via air and meets various federal regs about the
recipeint. The P.O. has considerable left over 19th century morality
buried in its rules.
