Well, I cant really say. My guess would be that the "Higher Priced" lines
most likely cater to a "Different" clientel. Perhaps a more mature, upscale
group of cruisers. I've never been on a "Premium Priced" cruise line (I'm a
cheap b*****d)! I like the "Party Boats"...but then I know how to keep a
"lid" on it.
Also, I never said it was NOT about revenue. I stated that it was not there
first and formost concern.
Yes...the Disney cruises are expensive? First of all, there is no casino's
on board, so I'm told. Thats the main reason. And yes...alcohol is not
promoted as heavily on that line as it is on a "Party Boat" line. Why?
Because Disney caters to the "Family" group of cruises. Most with young
children.
But then the context of this thread is about RCCL's alcohol policy. RCCL's
rates are the most affordable in the industry...and the service, ammenities
and value are excellent! I say dont screwup a good thing!
