Norwegian Coastal Voyage's new, air-inclusive seven- to 10-day cruise-tours
Dec. 20-28 will include traditional Norwegian Christmas and gala New Year's
Eve celebrations. The itineraries include a choice of Christmas and New
Year's festivities at sea, a Christmas pre-cruise visit to Copenhagen and
the Christmas market at Tivoli Gardens, New Year's celebrations at the North
Cape, Europe's northernmost point, a Northern Lights Festival concert in
Tromso's iceberg-shaped Arctic Cathedral, or fireworks and Sami traditional
singing in the capital of Norwegian Lapland. The holiday breaks, priced at
$2,145 to $3,130 per person for the best-available double cabin, include two
to four nights aboard a 490- to 674-berth ship sailing between Tromso and
Bergen, Trondheim or Kirkenes. Norwegian Yuletide traditions on NCV ships
include holiday specialties at Christmas Eve dinner, carol singing by the
tree and a visit from Santa Claus. On Christmas Day, a Scandinavian
smorgasbord is served, and on Boxing Day, there is an after-dinner dance.
The Dec. 20 departures feature an eight-day all-Norway tour for $2,390 on
the Midnatsol from Tromso to Bergen, while the 10-night program, priced at
$2,865, is on the Finnmarken from Bergen to Tromso. New Year's departures
