Hi Robert!
Were have you been? It is good to see you posting again!
We just got off the Conquest on Nov 5th and we had rear balcony #6456. As
much as we like rear balconies, I think that I would take one midship if I
were going on the Conquest. It was nice walking up a couple flights to the
buffet, but we were assigned the Renoir Restaurant which was midship but the
Conquest is a looong ship! It would have been nice if they had assigned the
Monet Restaurant which was aft and two decks below us..Ahh, well, we walked
off our meals which made it not so bad.
Our balcony was not all that large but it had two lounge chairs, a regular
chair and a small table. I did not find it as roomy as the ones on the Crown
Princess or Celebrity Infinity...Our cabin steward let us take a peek at
6452 and it was as large as ours but much longer...a wrap around
corner..Then we also looked at 6450 and it was longer than ours but much
more narrow..Maybe some T/A can jump in here and tell is the sq.ft. of a
midship balcony, but they sure seemed smaller than on other ships to me.
Be prepared for a lot of walking...that is why I recommend a midship
location...you will be half way between the buffet and the dining room and
showroom that way!
Do not book #6456, it is above the Degas Lounge and we heard karaoke and a
very vocally loud spiritual revival group some nights! Very interesting
listening! But our white noise machine blocked it out when we went to sleep!
The only time it was bad was when a band accompanying the karaoke had many
bass instruments!
The stern balconies can be a little more noisier than others but that
"hum"did not bother us at all.
Good hearing from you and stay with us!!
