Subject: Gift for Cruising Posted on: 5 Dec 2006 18:53:30 -0800

Quite a few posts have been made concerning the ability of salt air to make
people swell up during a week or more at sea. I myself have measured this
phenomena to be about a pound a day on average. It is enough to cause people to
be camera shy towards the end of an otherwise enjoyable cruise.

Now there a technical solution. Just this afternoon I received a notice from
Hewlett Packard that a new digital camera will be available by Christmas. One of
the techno-features of this camera is the ability to enhance a photo to make the
subjects appear slimmer.

This is not a joke, when you push the buttons to remove red eye etc, you can
also adjust the image to take off 10 pounds or more. Don't ask me how they do it
but what a great thing for the Gala Buffet. You can be a hero to all around you.

Wonder how long it will take for the ships photographer to make this an extra
cost option ???
