Port Canaveral embarkation time Posted on: Sun, 10 Dec 2006 17:31:46 +0000 (UTC)

We're going on our third cruise out of Port Canaveral this coming
Saturday 12/16/06 on the Carnival Glory. We previously went on a
Carnival during December 99 (can't remember which ship) and Disney on
Sept 05. What is the earliest time you should or can get to the
terminal to actually check in? Carnival says embarkation is 1:30Pm. The
travel agent that booked us says, get there about an hour and a half
before (12:00Pm) then another agent in the same travel agency says
DON'T even go to the terminal until 1:30. I recall on the 05 Disney
cruise they started letting passengers on the ship around 12:30 (we
walked in the terminal at 11:00Am) and the ship actually left at 4 or
maybe 5PM. We're by no means expert cruisers but not "first -timers"
either. Like the previous cruises we want to get onboard as soon as we
can to check out the ship, find our cabin, etc, etc. What's the
recommendation? Any feed back on the "Glory" will be appreciated as
well.
