Brian, I have not heard if there has been any more follow-up to the
probable murder on the case you mentioned. It would seem, though,
based on the news coverage (which is always a little suspect these
days) that there was some kind of fight in the newlyweds' room and the
man was probably thrown overboard by his assailants.

I had understood that the guys at the bar were put ashore at the next
port for bad behavior not related to the probable murder? I do not
know if that is true.

I saw the interview of the ship's captain when the bride was trying to
sue the cruise line. He was very eloquent and despite the interviewer
trying to paint the captain and the cruise line as the bad guys, he
handled the interview questions well. I believe he did everything that
any reasonable person would do in his circumstance, and that finding
fault with the cruise lines for the incident is ridiculous. It is not
the job of the cruise line to protect people from themselves.

It would be a WAG that the new wife (apparently not a totally new wife
- as I understand they had been living together for some time before
the marriage) was involved in some manner - most likely encouraging the
guys in the bar to come to her room for some personal entertainment
(perhaps she was drunk or doing a specific party drug at the time - who
knows?), resulting in a quarrel of some kind with the husband who might
not have wanted that kind of party and ending with blood on the balcony
and shark bait in the sea...

Just a guess, though.
