I've read it George, and I agree that it *generally* is the way things
are.
However, this part is *factually* out of date:

In real life, we've booked four (4) cabins in 2007 on just such a
cruiseline where the tips are included in the advertised fare and the
workers do get a decent wage.
Their official published policy is: "onboard gratuities are neither
required nor expected".
And a 28 Aug 2006 release on this subject stated:
"Several years ago, we realized that our guests had this same
concern. So, we implemented our No Tipping Policy. At [company
name] gratuites are neither expected nor required. When you cruise
aboard [company], travel on our exclusive land tours or even enjoy one
of our included shore excursions- your gratuities are covered. One
less worry when you travel with us."
George, these companies are out there if you look for them.
Which means that your "Cruisaders - Cheap Bastards" FAQ needs an
update.
FWIW, I've purposefully chosen to not name the cruise line in the
above. People who have read my prior posts on rtc probably already
know the name of one such company quite quickly. Those who are
curious can do some searches and figure it out.
Those that remain ignorant, do so by their choice.
