My dh doesn't have a tux and will probably never have one. He doesn't
want one, and I am not going to complain about it. When he was in the
workforce, he was in the Navy and he had the uniform specified for the
occasion. I thought he looked much more elegant in a uniform than he
would have done in a tux.
Now that he's retired he doesn't do uniforms anymore (and it wouldn't
really be appropriate). He will not complain about a jacket and tie,
so that's what he wears. (His good dark suit doesn't fit him
anymore.) I'm really not that much into dressing up myself if the
truth be known. But I do like to eat dinner in the main dining room.
