I've never worn a tux, but my husband has, on several caribbean
cruises. And, while he does complain a bit about having to pack one, I
never hear about it once we're on the ship. And, he's definitely not
complained about the heat factor involved in wearing one. In fact,
they keep the temps so cool inside the ship, that he probably likes
having the added layer of the tux jacket - especially if he's had too
much sun that day...which always makes you feel a little chilled (at
least it does me). When we go outside for a stroll out on deck, he
takes his jacket off. Easy.

The infernal things are downright stiffening! When you go on

While that's true that most of us women can wear "less" clothing and
still be formal, I'd like you to try wearing a bra on that sunburned
skin of yours. After you've been through an evening of that, get back
to me on which is more uncomfortable, a loose tuxedo shirt with a
jacket or an elastic strap pressing snuggly right into that sunburned
flesh across your back and shoulders.

Nah. I'll stick to fun little dresses. :-)
