Hi Mitch,
Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising, you'll love it!!!

Motion sickness is a strange animal. Some people experience sickness easily,
some never. I get sick on Disney's it's a small world ride. My wife gets a
little queasy the first day and then she is fine. I take Bonine, and like
everyone has been saying, it works great. My wife on the other hand uses
the patch, scopolamine or something like that. She says you have to be
really careful with it. Such as not touching your eyes and a slew of other
warnings. She doesn't like Bonine, says it makes her feel like she's on
drugs. Other people say the same about the patch.
Ginger, wrist bands, there's a bunch of remedies out there. Our first
cruise we came stocked with everything and I tried them all. Bonine was the
best for me.

Also, don't dwell on it to much if you're just queasy. Find something to
take your mine off it, because there is a certain psychosomatic element to
it.

Have fun,
