Clue #1 that something isn't as "safe" as the sales pitch claims is
the long liability waiver paperwork.

Sorry, but that's your personal opinion based on ignorance due to
lack of education of the objective risks.

If you don't want to believe me, I suggest you call DAN (or a local
doctor who specializes in Hyperbaric medicine) and ask them what
degree of risk of AGE there us from this activity with only 5 minutes
of orientation (including non-swimmers).

Please do keep in mind that its not that this activity can't be done
relatively safely - the problem is just that it really needs more than
5-15 minutes of training, as well as some proficiency prerequisites.

Also, it certainly doesn't help that their equipment lacks any
backups in the event of a mechanical failure.

Overall, the thing to remember is that if it really was as safe as
they try to claim, then there would have been no reason for that long
liability waiver.

Think about it, and look for information regarding risk from someplace
other than the guy trying to sell you the service.

Its your life, and that waiver protects him, not you.
