what is the best way to get from the airport LAX to the port ??

est taxi cost for 2, or shuttle or what is available.. first time flying
to west coast . from NJ

is it worth staying the nite before the cruise ?? to see los angeles ?
first 2 days of cruise are sea day , so not worry about jet lag
