You are probably waiting for Southwest to open up. I am in the opposite
situation. I have my air to Miami for a December cruise, got a good
deal when flights opened up at 330 days out but I don't have a Hotel
yet. I will wait a little while before starting to bid on Priceline.

I have had a lot of bids rejected on Priceline but with patience I
always got one and a good hotel at a good price. For Fort Lauderdale I
got the Embassy Suites for $60 or $70 several times and I got the
Renaissance for $85. Some times it took a couple of weeks but in the
end I got an accepted bid. I always book a backup hotel but never had
to use them.
