Cal,
Do I ever know where you are coming from...Ed came down with the same thing
the day after we returned from our Transatlantic...For a week he coughed his
head off ....even though it was very productive, he had problems breathing
and since he has COPD, I insisted on driving him to the doctor's last Monday
morning and the Dr. said he was seeing alot of what he called *crud*...Both
of his lungs were congested so he ordered immediate inhalation therapy, gave
him an antibiotic injection as well as a steroid injection and sent him home
with a prescription for oral antibiotic and Advair...He had had no appetite
and lost 10 pounds, so he was extremely weak and fatigued...Today he is much
better and stronger...The doctor says that there is a strain of flu that was
not included in this year's flu shots and many of the people that get it,
end up with bacterial upper respitory infections...I went through the same
thing in March and ended up having to cure it with antibiotics...So I know
very well what you meant when you said that you did not feel like talking to
anyone during your bout with it...It is no doubt spread to others while on
plane flights and when you have been on a constant go, your resistance is at
its lowest...Glad that you and Pat are feeling better now, anyway...Good
luck to Pat on her cataract surgery!

I would love to spend some time in Barcelona as well as visit Lisbon,
Portugal and going to the shrine at Lourdes.
I'll be watching the mail for your *stuff*!
Thanks and take care,
