Consider just getting a minimal-type of charcoal filter, such as sold by
sporting goods stores. You can find them online or at the mega stores
such as Bass Pro Shops or Cabella's. They are intended for use by
campers, so are light and portable. The following URL is Cabella's
assortment, and includes everything from water bottles with filters
built in to batch processing rigs.
