Hi Guys,
I am trying to put an Alaskan cruise together for members of my family.
After reading the posts on this list, it sounds like early June, 2008 would
be the best time.
Right now however, , I don't know how many would be interested, but
probably at least six cabins would be needed.
Since most of my family live in the Pittsburgh area, it would have to start
there, or that is where we would fly from.
Would someone advise me how best to proceed in putting this trip together?
For example, I want to keep the costs down as much as possible but when I
give them a price, I want it to include airfare as well as the total price
of the cruise and taxes.
I wonder if the best deal could be through a travel agent, or on line, and
if so, how would everyone make their own reservations. I have talked with
travel agents that are in my area here in FL, and have not found their
prices as good as the ones I find on line. But when using on line booking,
will there be a problem in getting in touch with the company? When I used
Travelosity the last time for a cruise just for my husband and me, it was a
real pain to try to get someone at Travelosity to be able to anser the phone
or on line, the questions that I had. So if I had that much trouble, I
don't want my sisters and brothers to have the same problem. However,
Travelosity had the best price at the time so that is why we went with them.
I just don't know how to go about this, although I know my family would love
to take a cruise together and Alaska is a place they have talked about
wanting to visit, but no one wants to put it together.
Thanks for any help and any replies.
Sandy
