It depends on what you like to eat. Are you asking about the free
restaurants or those with a surcharge.
The Bistro remains the flagship surcharge restaurant in my view. Very good
escargot, mushroom soup, and the tasting menu is excellent. Teppanyaki is a
lot of fun and in my view a very good dinner experience.
No fee restaurants - The Italian Restaurant is county casual - pasta dishes
ok - they do make an outstanding snapper dish.
If you want a very good Angus steak then Cagney's is the place. Jumbo shrimp
cocktail (order a double), great seasoned chips, porterhouse steak, then
normally also serve live lobster but I am not certain they will have them
for your cruise.
With one night I would do the Bistro or Cagneys. About the chocolate fondue
it is no longer on the menu but if you ask they will make it. Too many
issues with the flame to keep the fondue hot.
Take good care of the Gem. I will be boarding two days after you get off for
the first real cruise to Barcelona. I was on the TA for the Pearl last Dec
and loved the ship.

We have booked the 1st trip for NCL's Norwegian Gem, October 4th
from Rotterdam.
It's just a 2 day/1 night trip.
Could anyone of you, who cruised before on NCL's Norwegian Pearl,
recommend 1 or 2 restaurants ?
