Unfortunately, Sept-Dec is the high season in NYC, so a moderatle
priced hotel will run more. IME, the Millenium Hilton at 55 Church
Street near the WTC site, is a good value. I've also been able to
find good discounts with www.travelzoo.com . In May, I got in on
a grand opening for a hotel 1-block off Times Square for $225+tax.
