The dedicated housing is the only thing I'd trust my camera in for
actual submersion/snorkeling. The plastic baggie type being sold for
the purpose might be trusted for protection for splashes and oops type
of situations, but I haven't had good luck with those things for even
keeping cash/credit cards dry.

I almost got a Canon, but decided on a Sea & Sea in a housing instead.
I thought Canon had some decently priced housings for many of their
P/S's when I was in the market for one.

Love to go back to Bonaire too. May have to settle for a cruise day,
perhaps including one of the other ABC islands I haven't been to as
well. When I've only got a week I hate to lose a day flying in and
another getting back.
