So how is that different from people who smoke in a hotel or a big office
building?

Drive a car. Walk down the street. Take a shower. People die doing these
things every day... life is fraught with danger. (HA! Not every day you get
to use the word "fraught".)

By all accounts, smoking is not a good thing. I don't smoke but that is my
decision for myself. I'll let others make the decision for themselves. I
hope everyone quits because I know what it is like to watch someone die from
cancer, but again, that is their decision.

BTW - here in good old Shreveport, LA (that's Louisiana, not Los Angeles) -
the local politicos are considering passing a law making it illegal for
people to wear "sagging pants" that expose their underwear.

Helmet laws. Seat belt laws. Smoking laws. Now laws about how someone
wears their pants.

Doesn't the government have better things to do?
