Good Grief. Now I am totally confused. This is what a SD resident advised
me on CruiseCritic...
"If you have plenty of time to waste, you can get a public bus along the
Silver Strand which will take you to the Coronado passenger ferry landing,
then take the passenger ferry to the pier next to the cruise ship pier, then
walk 2-3 blocks to the San Diego Trolley, or catch another bus. The Trolley
can take you to Old Town, or the Gaslamp Quarter, ......., but it does not
go to Balboa Park, the Zoo, or Sea World. You would have to take more buses
to do that."
This contradicts some of what you said. I called the resort and they
advised the buses would only get us to Coronado, but not into San Diego. If
the Trolley will get us from Coronado to the Gaslamp Quarter, Zoo and
Old Town, we'd be pretty happy. I'll check that website and make more calls.
Thanks.
