Kurt, I can't tell you which airport to use (we flew out of Gatwick) but I
can highly recommend, if you can possibly swing it, spend more than just one
day in London! We were there for the first time (beside airport stops) for
four days last April and wished we had tacked on at least three more
days...there is just soooo much to see and do in London. If not possible,
look for accommodations near Victoria Station which is walking distance to
Buckingham Palace...There is a Thistle hotel right in Victoria Station which
would be ideal, as the underground subway stations, trains and busses are
all located there.
I don't know anything about Harwick and getting there from London as we
docked in Southampton. There is a train at Victoria Station that we took
that got us to Gatwick in less than 30 minutes.
