With a partial transit you will only get to go through the Gatun Locks.
We have done this twice and it is a wonderful/fascination/educational
experience.

For a full transit you need more time and you will leave from one coast,
wind up on the other coast making plane fare more expensive.

We were very pleased with our canal experiance doing a partial transit,
but hope once DH retires and we have more time to do a full transit.
