We've done both.
Given the makeup of your group, with the teenage
girls, I think you will find Carnival "experience"
more to your liking.
Lots of fun activities, reasonably good food and
"fun" meals.
Just watch out for the amount of "free" pizza and
lemonade that can get consumed. It can have a
chance of returning early, early in the morning.
Have a great trip, you will enjoy it. Oh yes, and
it will be HOT. Bring the Sunscreen and hats.
