I was on the Inspiration last November, but on a different itinerary.
Whether or not the 'no jeans in the dining room' rule is enforced
depends on the maitre'd. Some of them enforce the dress code, others
don't. If it's not going to kill you, pack a pair of slacks and try
the dining room. The experience is worth having to 'dress up', IMO.
I don't remember the exact cost of drinks on board, but I didn't think
it was much more outrageous than at any nightclub. Maybe beer is
expensive, I don't know. I only ordered mixed drinks when I sailed.
