I have also done this on vacation. When its time to retire old
underwear I just take it on vacation and retire it after use. This
will also make more space in your suitcase.

I've never had this problem. I am a very early riser so for me
to do laundry in the morning is no problem. Even when I've had to
wait during the day its never been more than a few minutes. Even
during very busy times.
