Well, we are flying Jet Blue which does not fly into MIA, so we are
flying into FLL the day before. The TV's make the flights a lot easier
on kids (and me). Renting a car on the arrival is a no brainer to give
us some mobility for the evening.
The trip to the airport after the cruise is the question. I was
planning on another car rental. It appears that the taxi, while
reasonable, is probably not a better solution than another car rental.
Now the only question is, a hotel in FLL or MIA. We arrive in FLL
about dinner time, so it probably makes no difference. How long a trip
is it to the port from FLL. I have heard estimates from 20 minutes to
45 minutes.
