I'm a complete mess with nerves right now. Mostly because of excitement!
I've NEVER been this excited/nervous about a cruise before and this is my
10th!
I leave for San Juan in about 4 hours for my 11 day Empress OTS cruise.
I read on cruise critic about some problems US Air has had with canceled,
delayed and overbooked flights. I read these night before last. Too late to
change any of my flights or anything. I booked the cheapest air I could
find, which was US Air and my assigned itinerary involves several
connections. I leave Albuquerque for Phoenix, then to Las Vegas, then to
Philadelphia and then finally to San Juan. A couple of the connection times
are tight, so I'm a bit worried. There is a second flight from Philadelphia
to San Juan that'll get me there in time if by chance something is delayed,
so I'm not dwelling too much. I'm too excited!
I was worried about my luggage being lost so I managed to fix that problem.
I'm only taking carry on bags. I am a huge over packer, but this time I
managed to pack my laptop and camera and iPod in my laptop bag. All of my
clothes, extra pair of shoes and other things are in a small rolling
suitcase (the 22" that pilots use for their things) Everyone I know is in
shock that I managed to pack this lightly! I have to take a picture to prove
to everyone that I got away with it *grin*
I'm ready to go!
