I originally wanted to get to San Juan a day or 2 early, but it just wasn't
possible with other commitments at home. The good thing is that even if
there is a delay of one of my flights, there's another flight that leaves
Philadelphia about 2 or 2 1/2 hours after my original flight. Getting me to
San Juan still in plenty of time.
The weather is fine in Albuquerque, Phoenix and Las vegas. There's rain and
freezing rain in the Philly area, but it's expected to be clear tomorrow
morning so I may be ok with my original flight. The tightest connection I
have is in Phoenix. It's only about 40 minutes.

I'm notorious for over packing. But with so many connecting flights I didn't
want to risk my bags being lost. I'm not going to eat in the dining room
except for maybe breakfast and lunch a couple times. I'm only taking 2 swim
suits, 1 extra pair of shoes, a pair of jeans 'm wearing on the flights, a
pair of jean shorts and a few tank tops and t-shirts. (plus socks and
undies) I packed a beach bag that I can use for souvenirs on the way home.
Then I can just check my 22" bag for the return. I don't care if it takes a
while to get home, it's just getting to San Juan I worried about.
