Well I LIKE to travel with him. It isn't really as much fun without him.
But I will have to find a cruise that:
a) Starts from a US port between Philadelphia and Charleston SC
b) Goes somewhere he hasn't been and wants to go
c) Is on a small ship (under 1500 pax)
d) Ends in the US where we can drive home
I do have a cruise planned with my third oldest grandson who will be almost
14 (which I find is the best time to travel with a grandchild) in the spring
in the Med. Bob isn't going on that one. I'm looking forward to that, but
I hope they do a better job with Freestyle than they did on the Pearl.
I traveled with the second oldest grandson this past spring to Ireland and
London and we really had a good time. He turned 14 right after we got back.
And I'm looking forward to going with the fourth oldest one sometime soon.
He will be 14 in August, but his sister is also getting married in August so
I don't think he will be free to travel with me until next year. I'm hoping
to go to the Virgin Islands and go sailing with him so it will be a
different kind of cruise.
The next oldest grandchild in line is the second oldest granddaughter who is
now in 6th grade. We will see how long I can keep this up. After my dad
died, my mom took all of her grandchildren that wanted to go on a trip, and
the last one was my son who she took to Africa. She was about 76 at that
time, and I will be 82 when my youngest grandchild is 14.
