On the other hand, less time for people to be on the ship
spending money on drinks, casino and the shops. And unless
you're talking about leaving at 5pm instead of 10pm, I suspect
the food savings would be minimal.

Also I think the idea was that by leaving ports earlier, the
ships could go slower onto the next port, thus saving money on
fuel.
