Hi Friends
For those of you who have asked (and prayed) for my son Adam, I'd like you
to know that his surgery yesterday was a success. After 6.5 hours on the OR
table, he is fused for the second time. When the surgeon opened up his back
he found that none of the first fusion had worked and it all had to be
redone. It is no wonder Adam has been in such pain! He was literally being
held together by nothing more than the titanium screws and rods in his back.
The surgeon is very optimistic about the outcome this time as he has used a
different procedure than the first surgeon and used newer technology to
anchor the bones and help them to grow together. All I know is that Adam
was in much better shape last night when he got up to his room than he was a
year ago when he woke from surgery.
I'll be heading into the hospital this afternoon to let his wife come home
and rest (she is pregnant with their first baby)
I know all the positive energy and prayers you have offered on Adam's behalf
have helped immeasurably. Thank you so much.
Momma
