Royal Caribbean didn't contribute $500,000 to the Florida Republican Party
like Carnival did.
Funny how Princess and HAL both *independently* decided to donate a
quarter of a million dollar$ only 5 days after Attorney General Crist gave
his blessing to the surcharge. I am sure the amount and timing was just
coincidental.
Now that Crist has been elected Governor (with the help of Carnival Corp
donations), it will be interesting to see if he backs up the opinion he gave
them when he was the Attorney General. My guess is that push come to shove,
he'll throw Carnival under the bus.
