I requested air from Vancouver to LA. My confirmation invoice shows
the departure airport as Vancouver Intl (YVR). But just to be really,
really, sure I phoned RCI and asked the reservation clerk. She had no
idea what I was talking about, and referred me to the Custom Air
Department. He had never heard of such a thing either, and said if I
have requested air from Vancouver, we will be flying out of Vancouver.
Both clerks seemed to think I was crazy for even asking if there was a
chance that we would be bussed from Vancouver to Seattle!
So now I'm wondering if that has ever really happened to anyone. Call
me naive, but it seems ridiculous that we would have to take a 4-hour
bus ride from Vancouver to Seattle. When I booked our cruise, I
compared airfare from Seattle to LA and from Vancouver to LA. It cost
us more to fly out of Vancouver, but it's much more convenient.
I would love to hear from someone who has actually had to do that. |
