True, but suicides don't always do things the easy way. Could be
they wanted to go in such a manner that the body couldn't be found
(maybe to punish those left behind). Could be they wanted to go in a
manner that could be looked at accidental (to maybe spare those left
behind). Could of been spur of the moment and that was the method handy.
Any number of reasons logical and not so that would lead one to jump off
the side of a boat.
