As a little strategic consideration, you will be one of the last ships
arriving that day, so I would urge you to pre-book and just take your
chances with the weather.

The same can be said for Juneau Alaska, but even worse there. There is
a database out there that lists each port and what ships will be there
on any given day and their port times. You might want to give it a
look and plan accordingly. In July, demand may very well surpass
available excursions, especially the smaller boutique outfitters like
Captain Larry and Michelle.

As far as HAL goes in Alaska, their ships are ideal for an Alaskan
cruise... They have an incredible amount of outdoor space.

Lastly, if you're going on a one-way cruise, for example, northbound,
and you have a balcony, I would suggest a starboard side berth.
