I though using the word "class" in this reference would indeed bring forth
some additional responses; and it certainly did. Other than a few who always
seem to find something negative in what I or some others may say, most rose
to the occasion and now brought forth some really good and useable
information in relation to this original post. Now we all know a lot more as
to what cruise lines and ships have self laundries, which ones don't, and of
course some speculation as to why. However, that really can only be answered
by the management of the cruise lines themselves, not from guesses and
speculations from any newsgroup.
Yet, "why" is not the real issue, but apparently whether sailing on a ship
with a place to do laundry yourself, is. As for so called "class"... that is
a subjective term. That could mean a lot of different things to different
people. Likewise, "class" does not necessarily mean upscale or money, nor
age, nor without kids, etc. It's whatever one wants to make it, for "class"
in this reference really means attitude.
However, on a personal note, when Deborah and I are on vacations, the very
last thing we want to do is the laundry. The same holds true for making the
bed, cooking the meals, washing the dishes, etc. After all, we're on
vacation. That's part of what a vacation is all about for us.
Happy sailing...
