Wow Clay, I must have really missed the boat (no pun intended) on this one
to bring even you to calling me names by simply mentioning the word class.
That is usually not your style; being more open and understanding to most
everyone in your responses. However, I also understanding that ones
interpretation is also subjective, with a few thinking some of what I say is
slanted towards the negative, while many more realize this has more to do
with who's saying it and the internal cliques.
For example, while the original post was asking about laundry facilities on
a cruise ship, this is now turning into yet another bashing session, totally
off the main subject. Calling me an ass doesn't answer the question, but
perhaps makes some fell good in the process and even may score them a few
points with those quick to jump on this bandwagon as well.
While I was certainly not talking about going camping for example, as
another alluded to, after all, our general subject is about cruising. So
what's left of this trailing off the subject thread would be better suited
towards the intended subject, not this attempt at name calling. I did
however say... "on a personal note, when Deborah and I are on vacations [a
cruise], the very last thing we want to do is the laundry. The same holds
true for making the bed, cooking the meals, washing the dishes, etc. After
all, we're on [a cruise] vacation. That's part of what a [cruise] vacation
is all about for us." That's my story... and I'm sticking to it.
I didn't think an explanation was necessary as to what type of vacation I
was talking, but seemingly it was, unless the meaning was purposely changed
for sarcastic effect. The same obviously holds true as to ones
interpretation of their current meaning of "class," which indeed will be a
separate subject in a future post.
Happy sailing...
