Roatan has some of the most beautiful, white beaches in the Caribbean.
They do have sand fleas, or no-see-ums. Spray your feet and legs with
insect repellent before you leave your cabin, and bring the repellent
with you. They sell Off insect repellent on cruise ships for about
$10-12 a can, or you can bring your own.
Doris, I went to the Fantasy Island Resort on Roatan, and a group of
retirees from Florida were there to go snorkeling. You would have fit
right in. I am glad you are keeping active and enjoying everything life
has to offer.
The snorkeling at Fantasy Island is pretty good, they built a pier that
has a cabana at the end of it, with a ladder that goes into the water.
There is beach access, if you prefer that. I have gone scuba diving at
Fantasy Island, snorkeling and I have enjoyed the beaches. They have a
swimming pool, restaurant, gift shop. We have ran into 3 ship captains
at this resort. Just take a taxi from the ship.

We have also gone to a resort called the Mayan Princess. They have clean
rest rooms, food, beverages, and a nice beautiful beach. Their beach is
right next to Tabayana beach, which will be packed. There are fewer
tourists at the Mayan Princess.
Enjoy your cruise, Doris.
