Good point Neal,
We understand that conditions and priorities change and/or are different for
different people. Likewise, if we had kids, I think even on a cruise, our
priorities would probably be somewhat different.
The bottom line to this original post was whether select cruise ships had
laundry facilities or not. We have been on some that do, while other don't.
That obviously is not a big priority for us, but different strokes for
different folks.
On a personal note, we simply set aside some extra money while traveling for
laundry services, especially when on a cruise. Not to sound like I don't
help out, but I don't do the laundry that much when we're home anyway.
Therefore, I feel the least I can do is try to give my wife a break while on
vacation, and not expect her to do any of the laundry. After all, it's her
vacation too.
Yet, as I said before, maybe if we had kids, necessity would dedicate
otherwise. And who knows, even in a pinch we may have to run down to the
laundry mat anyway if conditions so warrens it- that is, if the ship we are
on at that particular time even has one. This is not to say or imply that
we're not above doing so in a pinch, it is just not a big priority for us.
Likewise, it is good to see that these threads have gotten back to the
original subject post, instead of degrading toward personal insults again if
I and/or or others missed, what, someone else's point? Yet, even as you
said... "that's what a vacation is all about." There is actually no right or
wrong answer to this question, just different opinions.
Happy sailing...
